Dream come true When I was a little kid my mom let me pick out the wallpaper for my room in the new house we were building. I chose a wallpaper that had cartoon airplanes intermixed with clouds. Ever since I was a little kid being a pilot has been my dream. My plans for a career are well thought out.
After completing my education I plan to spend one or two years as a flight instructor so I have some experience in the aviation field. Next, I plan to find a job as a corporate pilot flying business size planes. At this time I see myself being happy with that job until retirement, but if it comes to a point that I am looking for something else I may then try to find a job flying for an airline. Although I have made good plans my mind may change after my education in the field is complete. I have looked into many ways to follow my career goals. In the end it was my decision to go to a four year university that has a flight program.
Although I do not need a four year degree to become the pilot I want to be, there are benefits. With the excess education I see it being easier to find jobs. I also see that with the extra education it makes me more knowledgeable in the world that is around me. I have never found learning something new to be dull, even if it does seem to be useless. I can awaiting the completion of my dreams and as they get closer I see them as a reality and not some dream of the distant future.
