Education has been a way for oppressed people toimprove themselves and to move their families and communities forward. Highereducation should be utilized as a central tool to dismantle the barriers ofracial inequality. Higher education needs to create better resources forstudents who want to obtain employment once graduating. Students enroll in college for theprimary purpose of getting a good job and setting themselves on a path toward asuccessful career.
Sometimes universities have shown unwillingness aboutembracing a role in job and career preparation, rather wanting to maintain a focuson the value of attending college, becoming an educated citizen, and earning adegree.The purpose of this paper is to explore strategies for universities to preparetheir students for careers once enrolled on their campus. Thispaper will utilize the following research questions:
