Egypt, a country linking northeast Africa with the Middle East, dates to the time of the pharaohs.
Egypt is a very mysterious place full of mystery. The pyramids is one of the 7 wonders in Egypt. The first thing that people think of when you say Egypt is the pyramids but there’s so much more. There’s economy and business. Theirs the nile river and the city of cairo. There are temples were they pray to there gods.
That is what I will be talking about today. Many people know what the pyramids are but i’m going to give you more information. They’re about 8 pyramids known in Egypt.
The most known one is the great pyramid standing at 455 feet (138 meters). The Great Pyramid was constructed between 2580-2560 BC. Most of the pyramids in Egypt are on the Giza Plateau by the Nile River. Without the Nile River Egypt wouldn’t exist because that was their only water supply. The oldest pyramid in Egypt known to man is the Pyramid of Djoser constructed 2630 BC–2611 BC (BEAUREGARD 16). The pyramid of Djoser also known as the step pyramid is 203 feet tall (62 meters) and 411 feet wide (125 Meters). The step pyramid doesn’t look like an ordinary piramid. It looks like a bunch of cubes stacked on each other but each square gets small for each square.
It was the first of many other pyramids yet to be built. There’s another pyramid called the pyramid of the sun that most people have never heard of. The Pyramid of the Sun is the largest building in Teotihuacan, believed to have been constructed about 200 CE, and one of the largest in Mesoamerica. Egypt also has the Sphinx of Giza.
The Sphinx is not really a pyramid but really and giant statue of a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. The Sphinx of Giza is 66 feet high and 238 feet long. The nose of the Sphinx of Giza was destroyed in the 15th century by a Sufi Muslim named Muhammad Sa’im al-Dahr. Egypt istent just about the Pyramids. Sinantist aren’t exactly sure how Egyptians built the pyramids but there are tons of theories about building the pyramids. Today the pyramids are used as tourist attractions but siantest are still trying to find out what all the symbols and signs mean. Egyptians are still trying to rebuild the Giza Plateau and the pyramids. Many people know about the pyramids but not many people know about the City of Cairo.
The City of Cairo is the capital of Egypt (Smith 2). The City of Cairo has the population of about 9.5 million. The City of Cairo is next to the nile river witch is right next to the Giza Plateau. There are many reasons to visit The city of Cairo like the Giza plateau. You can see the Sphinx, Great Pyramid and so much more. The city of Cairo is one of the best places to stay if you want to explore Egypt.
You can flow down the Nile river. You can go see all the temples and statues in the Giza Plateau. Also you can see the wonderful views of the city of Cairo Many people know about ancient Egypt but not many know about modern Egypt.
Now days, Egypt has changed. They don’t have Pharaohs. Now it is ruled by a president. They don’t build pyramids. They don’t write or calculate in Egyptian math symbols or the Egyptian alphabet. Even though Egypt has changed much, Egypt is still as fascinating as before.
Tourists come and see the amazing mummies and art, and much more. Archeologists are constantly finding great discoveries. So go get a flight ticket and go off to Egypt and have fun! (BEAUREGARD 17)There are many modern jobs in Egypt like there’s farming were you grow food for the country. That job is pretty normal but there’s a carpet and fabric industry were you make clothing and different color fabrics.There’s mostly normal jobs in Egypt like Architect, Sinitest to even waiters. There are many tourist attractions and hotels you can stay in if you ever take a visit to Egypt. It’s hard to believe that is so modern and up to date because were used to thinking about Egypt as Ancient, temples and pyramids but Egypt is now its own society with its own government.It’s honestly amazing.
As you can see Egypt is a very interesting place with so many wonders things. Now you know about the economy and business of Egypt and all the interesting jobs in Egypt.I thought all this stuff about egypt was very interesting. Like how did Egyptians build those giant pyramids before cranes.
