In the book animal farm, Napoleon cultivates nine dogs to control animal. Before Napoleon wrangle with Snowball, he have been said that education of the young was more important. I believe that Napoleon tend to train an organization to help him to dislodge Snowball.
He may knows well about how to control animal. He trains his own force and have an publicist. Napoleon depend on his private force to control animal mind and their behavior. So that animal farm activities flowed with Napoleon own opinions. In modern society, many countries also use an special organization to control their people, such as secret police. They help government to clean or find people who want to against government.
Secret police uses fear, weapon, and other ways to control them. Like nine dogs.If any animal have different ideas or voice with Napoleon, his dogs will bellow to them. When a chick have question about Napoleon, he was executed by dogs. I will have three examples to illustrate that what is secret police and their function. First of all, I want to introduce an example of secret police is KGB. KGB called “The Committee of State Security”. They was main security agency for the Soviet Union from 1954 until its down in 1991.
It was the chief that government agency of “union-republican jurisdiction”, acting similar internal security, intelligence and secret police. Its main functions were foreign intelligence, counter-intelligence, operative-investigatory activities, guarding the leadership of the Central Committee off the Communist Party and the Soviet Government, ensuring of government communications as well as combating nationalism, dissent, and anti-Soviet activities (Crump, Thomas. They have right to arrest or interrogate and detain anyone who are enemies of the state without trial and punishing them. The guards usually used as a means of eliminating political opponents through assassinations and legal prosecutions. To begin with, the guards severed as Zhu yuanzhang’s personal guards and defend him safety during the battle with other people. They help emperor to solve rebels that who have different voice with emperor on court. It seems like the nine dogs to defend Napoleon. When Napoleon was coming to watch other animal, they around him and watch out of any animal who have queer expression on their face. When four child pigs try to say something that is different opinions. They want to compare right now with before.
Then they fear about dogs’ bark. Pigs are shut their own. Nobody can say anything when dogs coming. They not only be force symbol but also be Napoleon personal guards. So that no one can approach him.
Third, I am going to use a modern example, which is secret police in nowadays. They are Federal Bureau of Investigation(FBI).
