Institute of Banking Personnel Selection was established
in 1975 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, it is a government body. This examination is
conducted for the recruitment of eligible applicants in Clerical and Officer
Division at all public sector banks except State Bank of India. It conducts a
Common Written Exam (CWE) which acts as a gateway for vacancies of this post.
The official notification of CWE will preferably be released in August, 2018.

Vacancies
for IBPS Clerk 2018:

Till now, no official notification has been given
regarding the recruitment for IBPS Clerk, 2018 but in 2017 approximately 7,884
vacancies were released.

How
to fill Application Form:

The dates for the application forms are yet to be
released; once the form is released it must be filled online and can be found
on the official website of IBPS. The notification for IBPS Clerk 2018 will be
out by the end of August 2018.

The fee for IBPS Clerical Examination 2018 is Rs. 600/-
for the general category candidates and for candidates who belong
SC/ST/PWD/EXSM category it is Rs. 100/-.

Required:

Ø  The applicant
should have a Passport-sized colored Photograph- 200*230 pixels in dimensions

dimensions 10kb-30kb in JPEG/ JPG format.

Exam
Pattern and Syllabus (IBPS Clerical Examination 2018):

This examination is a 2 stage process for recruitment
i.e. Preliminary and Main Examination. The applicants who qualify the
Preliminary and Main Examination will be appointed as Clerk in various public
sector banks.

v  Preliminary
Test

The
Preliminary Test is a 1 hour long and is divided into 3 sections and there will
be 100 MCQs of 1 mark each which will have to be answered in the duration.
There will be negative marking for every incorrect answer, there will be a
deduction of 0.25 marks will be. The Preliminary Test is of total 100 marks
divided in 3 sections i.e. English Language (30 marks), Numerical Ability (35
marks) and Reasoning Ability (35 marks).

 

v  Main
Examination

The
main examination has 190 questions and is 160 minutes or 2 hrs & 40 mins
long examination. Every section has a specific amount of time allotted. Just
like the Preliminary Test, the Main Examination also negative marking there is
deduction of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer. The sections are as follows
for the Examination:

Ø  General/
Financial Awareness- 50 questions- 50 marks- 35 minutes

Ø  English
Language- 4 questions- 40 marks- 35 minutes

Ø  Reasoning&
Computer Ability- 50 questions- 60 marks- 45 minutes

Ø  Quantitative
Aptitude- 50 questions- 50 marks- 45 minutes

Admit
Card:

On the official website of IBPS Clerical Examination you
will find the Admit Card and it can be downloaded from the same. The applicants
will have to enter their registration number and password to download the admit
card and the admit card will be released in November, 2018 for the Preliminary
Test and for the main examination it will be released by December, 2018.

IBPS
Clerical Exam Result 2018:

The results for both, the Preliminary Test as well as
Main Examination will be available on the official website which is www.ibps.in
and the results for the Preliminary Tests will be declared in the 1st
or 2nd week of December, 2018 and the final results will be declared
by the 1st week of March, 2019. The results can be checked by
entering the registration number and password or date of birth.

IBPS
Clerical Exam Cut Off 2018:

The cut off for the IBPS Clerical Examination 2018 will
be decided after the examination is conducted. The applicants must make sure
that they obtain maximum marks on the basis of which they can be shortlisted
for the further process of selection.
