It was an especially dark night.
The rain was pouring on my sweater as I walk down the street. I was walking to my house with a bag full of candy for Halloween as I walked I stumbled over a small green box with scary designs I don’t know why but I picked it up but I did and went into my house. When I got home I put on my pajamas and went straight to bed.
About an hour later the box started beeping so I turned on the lights and opened the box and inside was a message so I read the message: On Halloween come to the Mansion near the grave there will be pumpkins follow them and you will see a Mansion go inside and you will get your prize. From A spookay friend I was too tired to think so I put the message down and went to bed. But then my friend David called me and he said: “I got this really weird message from this really weird box and I wanted to ask you should I trust it?” I replied ” did you get an invite to go in a mansion” “yes” “I got the same message” “cool should we go” “I don’t think so” ” ok we’ll talk another day, bye” “bye” I closed my phone and I was tired I fell asleep. My alarm clock was ringing but I was still tired I stopped it with the palm of my hand. I made breakfast after brushing my teeth and hair I had a good breakfast it was bacon with eggs. Then I went for a walk around the neighborhood to get some fresh air. There was this weird lady sitting on a box near a candy shop and she was yelling “selling healthy goods” I said nothing and walked by. I was sleeping early today because tomorrow was the day that my mysterious friend invited me to his party I was nervous and worried but also excited.
I was thinking about the Mansion when I realized that if I went to the Mansion then no will be in the house to give candy to the trick-or-treaters. There was too much going on my head so I closed my eyes for a little bit just a little bit. I opened my eyes and checked what time it was and I got a phone call from my friend Juan I answered the phone and Juan said “hey, want to come over to eat some candy” and I said “no I have to attend a party” I immediately regretted saying that because he loves to party “can I come to your party” “I said “you can’t come to the party because it’s a private party and the candies are going to get eaten at 12:00” and Juan replied “the candies can wait”.
It was the morning of Halloween I was getting ready to leave my house because I promised I was going to talk about the weird message with David. I was almost in the graveyard and I thought someone was following me but when I turned around there was no one there. I went inside the graveyard and saw David in front of a pumpkin patch David said “should we check out the party” and a mysterious voice replied “I think you should” I screamed “ahhh” “its ok it’s just me” “Juan what are you doing here” “I’m just checking out the party” “what about the candy” I asked “I told all my friends that all candy parties are going to be on Saturdays” “ok but why do you want to come to the party its creepy” “I thought there might be some jumbo candy” “yea” agreed David alright lets follow the pumpkin patch. We followed the pumpkin patch all the way to the mansion. David noticed that it was surrounded by pumpkins and there were 5 other people wearing there Halloween costume that was waiting outside the door everyone said hi and we learned each other’s name I did not tell them Juan’s name I thought he would make me look embarrassed in front of the host there was Coal, Wendy, George, Sam, and John.
John said let’s go in so we went in but as soon as we went in and the doors closed and the hallway was lit with candles and was decorated with armor stands and as soon as everyone was in the doors closed immediately. We were all wandering around but John suggested that we should stick together so, we did. After searching everywhere, we found a room with a very large dining table with the finest dishes and silver wear. We all looked around and Sam said “look there is a painting of all of us” John said nervously “let’s go upstairs there might be umm a clue” I wondered why John looked so nervous but we went upstairs anyways we went into one of the bedrooms and the lights turned off we heard a slashing noise and the lights went back on “wow that was spooky” said George “it was scary” said John then we saw Sam and Coal’s head we were all terrified .
we all decided to stick together and we went into a huge bedroom with a message that’s says ” wake up ” we all wondered what that meant. next, we went into the bedroom which had another message that said ” the Shadows don’t sleep” David put the two messages together and read it to us ” wake up, the Shadows don’t sleep” and John said “that’s spookay!!! Spookay that sounded familiar but I did not where it came from “then the lights turned off again but this time nothing happened. during the three hours of wandering in the mansion, we found nothing Sam tried to break open a window but it was sturdy and wouldn’t budge no matter what we threw at it. we went into a huge washroom and the lights turned off again this time we knew what was going to happen there were another slashing sound and Sam’s head was on the ground I was thinking who could have killed Coal and Sam. we went back down to the dining room and David said ” look Sam and Coal’s pictures have been taken off of the wall”.
Juan said “hmm” Juan was looking intensely at the wall then took his phone out and texted someone John was looking nervous again he said ” what are you doing Juan I felt a chill down my spine I thought “how did John know Juan’s name” then I figured it all out John was the killer I looked at the wall and there were only three paintings left me, Juan and David,. I pulled out my phone and texted Juan I said “John is the killer” he replied “how do you know it wasn’t David”because John is the only one without a painting on the wall because he knew that he wasn’t going to be killed because he won’t kill himself” “yeah that makes sense”. it was getting late we still haven’t found an exit to this horrible place I wondered to myself why hasn’t John killed us then David said ” it’s getting really late” John replied ” how are we going to get out of here” Juan said “I heard you’re lonely that’s why you’re killing everybody” dang it Juan why couldn’t he keep his mouth shut. John said ” you knew all this time” “and you didn’t tell me” ” yeah because I was afraid you were going to kill me” then John Ran away. I said “when we go home or if we go home I will have a word with you “ok, ok” but let’s get out of here We were wandering around for a very long time but with no luck finding an exit then David said “we should have never come in and go trick or treating.
Then there was a noise upstairs David said “let’s go check what it is” we went upstairs but there were a billion rooms so we had to pick one. David pulled out his phone and started typing I asked “what are you doing” “a game” he replied I thought that was the dumbest thing ever I was too tired to respond so I just headed to room 23″ and there was an opened painting we went in and at the end there was a room and they fell down. Then we called 911 but John knew what had happened. They were too late. When the police got here it was only me left. They never found him, they never will.
When I asked the police officer were my friends were he just said “it was all in your imagination” I thought maybe it was all in my head that made me dizzy.
