MEDITATION There are 9 types of meditation in the systemof simplified kundalini yoga. We have taken only 5 types of meditation.
v Agna meditation –The life energy, situated in the Mooladhara Chakra, is raised to a pointbetween the eyebrows, when its presence in the body becomes evident. Thepituitary gland is activated during meditation.v Thuriya meditation – Thelife energy is raised to the crown of the head for meditation purposes. Thepineal gland is activated during meditation.v Thuriatheetha meditation – Thelife energy transcends the body to blend with the universal field. It thentravels further to become one with the static state.v Nine center meditation – Meidtationon the seven chakras or energy centers, viz Mooladhara, Swadhistana,manipooraka, Visudhi, Anahata, Agna & Thuriya, within the body, besides theuniversal field and the static state.
v Divine meditation – Recapitulatingthe transformations undergone by the Divine state culminating with man, andbecoming one with it.BENEFITSOF MEDITATIONv Thefrequencies of the mind waves come down during meditation.v Concentration-is the ability to stay focused on anything.v Fivequalities are developed through meditation. They are 1. Perspicacity 2. Magnanimity 3. Receptivity 4.
Adaptability 5.Creativityv Freesthe individual from Agamiya karm(Agna).v Thesubconscious and conscious mind work in harmony.v Constantawareness is developed.v Imprintsof Prarabdha karma are eradicated(Thuriya).
v Asthis meditation is performed from the level of the subconscious mind, the Consciousnessbegins to rule it.sin imprints are dissolved. v Sanchithakarma is eradicated(Thuriyatheeta).STATEOF AWARENESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS Be aware of the Awareness. The practice of meditation will help us to travel fromrajasic mind to sathvic mind, which is the pious or balanced state of mind.INTROSEPCTION Inner analyses means – introspection. Throughintrospection, ‘self’ is both the criminal and the judge. Mind hesitates toaccept its mistakes when pointed out by others.
So through introspection, onefinds out his defects and eliminate them. It is not necessary toin-born-gifted. But introspection is very essential to humanity which enactsmaximum mistakes. Introspection is considered as a divine practice in’Vethathiriam’. To destroy defects of word, thought and deedpractice highlighted ‘introspection’.IMPURITIESManhas got three impurities. They arev Psychicattachments(Ego)v Imprintsof sins (Impurity)v Ignoranceof Truth(Illusion) DELETING EGODivinefeeling is a must to delete ego.
‘Me’ and ‘Mine’ the two emotional thoughts andfrom that six harmful qualities come out. The six greed, anger, miserliness,immoral sexual passions, inferiority superiority complex and vengeance are tobe transformed into good traits. There are five stages of Research or practicesin Introspection.They are:v Analysisof Thoughtv Moralizationof Desirev Neutralizationof Angerv Eradicationof Worriesv Whoam I?(Realization of self)Analysis of Thought Analysis of thought is a good practice byfinding the rise of thought, the basic reasons, the action, the result andmaking the thought set right. By this we keep good thoughts leaving bad ones.Moralization of Desire Desire is aroused state of soul.
When soulfunctions, emotions spring up. If emotions rise, Needs jump up. Neutralization of AngerAnger destroys man anddamages the joy of the family. It develops mental grudings and sights in thesociety. If one is angry the peace of family will be spoiled. Anger cannot beeradicated but be neutralization.Eradicationof WorriesWhena desire obstructed, if the mind is unable to accept that situation, thatmental state is Worry.
Fromwhatever things one is detached,There is no pain fromthat specific thing. Strugglingbetween habit and wisdom, man gets clarification transforming his habitproperly and through the wisdom, he needs a regular practice to lead life bychanging his lifestyle.
