The appearance
of modern civilizations in the cities are based solely on speculative concepts.
Cities exist in clusters, and it is either planned or created. Concepts of
orderly hierarchies and regularized geometrics have commonly succeeded and been
in striking contrast to the seemingly disorderly densities of real cities. The spontaneous
city is non-geometric and unplanned growth. The evolution of organic patterns
have the power to control any urban land from physical determinants to social
determinants. Physical determinants were some visual parallel between organism
and town plans. It has mentioned that it has declared the primacy of urban
life, and the structural logic and pathogeny have been considered apposite to
the behavior of organic. Physical determinants has often use a small number of
topography, such as defensive site, sloped terrain, and natural harbor. The ideal
was to alter the landscape by land division and to administrate together of
synoecism. Social determinants are eventually settled matures by acknowledge
the law and social order and order vs disorder. The law and social order was
allowed to work itself out in visual privacy. Building codes of local currency
are the aspects of public and private life. Without the force of order vs
disorder, it will be chaos and have unoccupied lands. As in all paradigms, a
whole new way of assimilating is all the needs in life like never before. There
are certain policies that are rejected the implementation to clasp the ideal of
garden city, such as communal ownership and controlled use of property.

order to understand about the garden city, I found an article called, “Urban
Garden City” by Ebenezer Howard. Howard, a parliamentary reporter and clerk,
mentioned that the garden city paradigm initiated the modern era in urban and
regional planning. In his conceptualization, the garden city represented a
marriage between the most desirable amenities of the city and the countryside
and allowing the co-habitation of urban economies with natural surrounds. The garden
city was both a programmed for urban reform and a highly detailed physical plan.
Emerging indirectly in response to the widely shared critique of industrial
capitalism, the garden city was a comprehensive programmed for urban form. Essential
revision of land ownership and property rights was a major component of these
reforms. The garden city was to be a systematically planned “new town” built on
“greenfield” undeveloped and publicly owned land. One of the leading urban planning
and design movements in varies of cities is New Urbanism, and this paradigm
seeks to restore community revitalization to the heart of urban design. It can
best be understood in contrast with and resistance to suburban development.
