“The primary aim of the National Health Policy, 2015, is to inform, clarify, strengthen and prioritize the role of the Government in shaping health systems in all its dimensions- investment in health, organization and financing of healthcare services, prevention of diseases and promotion of good health through cross sectoral action, access to technologies, developing human resources, encouraging medical pluralism, building the knowledge base required for better health, financial protection strategies and regulation and legislation for health.”The other survey of AIIMS and Safdarjung hospitals shows that the condition is pathetic. There is lack of infrastructure facilities for EWS. On one hand Shortage of beds, shortage of medical experts, doctors, nurses etc. remains the main problem of government hospitals plus the hygiene problem is on the other hand. Though AIIMS of Delhi offers a best expert and doctors from all over India but if we see the condition of the government hospitals is of cry louds. Researcher visited these two adjacent hospitals where the poor are laying on the ground in very bad condition as they have no beds for such a large amount of patients. Many of them get appointment after years for senior doctors where as some are dealt by the junior doctors or interns.
The treatment of good doctor is enjoyed by beauraucrats and riches who have some link with higher authorities. The cleanliness problem in the government hospitals with no hospitality at all. The conditions are getting pathetic as per the NDTV report issued on 8th of March 2016 like one of the case of a minor girl who is dead due to the negligence of the safdarjung hospital. Doctor left the blade inside the body of a girl when his father reported about the pain in stomach after the operation, doctors ignored this matter after seeing the blade inside also. Hence she died after that Notice to health ministry, safdarjung is given. The commission has issued notice to the health secretary and the chief medical officer of Safdarjung Hospital.
By analyzing the data, the privatization of health services the condition of economic weaker section is alarming and the government hospitals are far away from providing the basic health services as having a big infrastructural gap. The both private and government hospitals are lacking behind in fulfilling the policy and achieving aim of National Health Policy 2015 according to the government of India. If the condition of the capital is sinking then what can we expect of the other states as well as rural areas?
