Upcoming Royal Enfield bikes in 2018 The retro bike making two-wheeler company, Royal Enfield is all set to introduce new bikes for 2018. As per speculations, the company is looking forward to launch new bikes somewhere around the third quarter of 2018, near festive season. Royal Enfield has already showcased two new big bikes for 2018 including the Interceptor 650 and Café Racer 650. Both the bikes will mark the entry of the company in the big segment that is currently ruled by Harley-Davidson and Triumph Motorcycles. It was shot along its bigger sibling at one of the company’s dealerships. Talking about the differences from the standard Thunderbird 350, it is basically the same bike but with slight design and color updates such as new multi-spoke alloys, different paint, different seats, pillion back rest and more. On the mechanical part, it’s the same bike. Expect a price tag of somewhere around Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.8 lakh on the same.

Royal Enfield Thunderbird 500X · Price: Rs 2 lakh to 2.2 lakh· Launch: March to May 2018· Engine: 499 cc 4 stroke, Single Overhead Cam, Air-Oil cooled, Single-cylinder· Power: 28 PS· Torque: 41.3 NmThe other bike spotted at the dealership along with the Thunderbird 350X is the Thunderbird 500X which like the former takes a step aside from the classic looks into slightly sporty design. Like its smaller sibling, it is offered with new paint scheme, blacked out engine, exhaust, different seat and handle- bar.
But on the mechanical part, it remains powered by the same 499cc single-cylinder engine as before. 6. Royal Enfield Himalayan 650· Price: Rs 4 lakh to 4.5 lakh· Launch: December 2018 to March 2019· Engine: 649 cc 4 stroke, Single Overhead Cam, Air-Oil cooled, Parallel Twin· Power: 47.65 PS @ 7100 rpm· Torque: 52 Nm @ 4000 rpm The third motorcycle which is expected to get powered from the newly developed 650cc twin engine is the Himalayan 650. Chances are that the bike might be launched in the Indian market by the end of 2018, or towards the 2019 starting. It will be the second bike in the Himalayan range from Royal Enfield and will be slightly costlier than other two twins.
